School Report Card

Thank you for your interest in learning more about North Carolina’s school accountability program. At Weddington Elementary, we remain deeply committed to ensuring high levels of learning for every student and fostering continuous growth across our school community. Each year, North Carolina shares updates with parents through the North Carolina School Report Card. This Report Card provides valuable information on student achievement, class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher qualifications.

At Weddington Elementary, our teachers and staff empower students to take ownership of their learning—to make connections, collaborate, and create meaningful demonstrations of understanding. Our curriculum is enriched through Dual Language Immersion, Art, and Music, which provide opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. We also take pride in celebrating students who embody the UCPS Portrait of a Graduate attributes: innovative leader, resilient problem solver, key contributor, effective communicator, and skilled collaborator.

Student leadership thrives at Weddington through programs such as Wildcats at Work, a service-based initiative, as well as Safety Patrol and our student Broadcast Team. Together, these opportunities build responsibility, teamwork, and confidence in our learners.
